Location. Positioned on a private peninsula in the picturesque San Diego Bay is the three story Loews Coronado Bay Resort & Spa in Coronado, Calif. This family friendly resort is across the street from Silver Strand State Beach, four miles from Coronado Village and nine miles from downtown San Diego. Hotel Features.. Fine dining and an extensive wine list are highlighted at Azzura Point, which incorporates fresh ingredients from the resort's on site garden into its California cuisine. Seasonal menus are featured and special menus for children are available. Market Cafe offers pizzas, pastas, baked goods and "Sunday Breakfast Brunch," and Cays Lounge features a selection of margaritas, cocktails and appetizers. Business services are provided and wireless Internet access is available for a fee. Beauty services are offered at Spray Salon, and Sea Spa features sea inspired services, a Watsu water shiatsu pool, Vichy rain shower, facials and teen oriented treatments. Guestrooms. Located in five separate wings, the 438 guestrooms feature, furnished balconies offering views of the marina and pool or of San Diego Bay. Beachside décor is emphasized with a mix of blond wood, rattan and mahogany finished furnishings, live plants and accents in tones of tan, slate blue and soft grey. Bedding includes down comforters, pillowtop mattresses and 300 thread count linens. Tiled bathrooms feature glass enclosed showers, deep soaking tubs, Bloom toiletries and the "Ultimate Doeskin" bathrobe by Chadsworth & Haig. Take I 5 South to SR 75 North toward Coronado. Proceed across the San Diego Coronado bridge. Turn left onto Orange Avenue. Orange Avenue becomes Silver Strand Boulevard. Continue past the US Naval Amphibious Base. Turn left onto Coronado Bay Road. The resort is located on the left.
